Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Capable Membership program operated by Get Handy Workshops & Training Pty Ltd (ABN 63 660 566 405), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Membership Services

Capable Membership provides access to:

• Online training videos and educational content
• Private community platform access (currently hosted on Skool)
• Monthly live coaching calls and Q&A sessions
• Downloadable resources, tool checklists, and buying guides

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Membership Fees and Billing

3.1 Monthly Subscription

The monthly membership fee is AUD $47 per month, billed on a recurring basis. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.

3.2 Gift Memberships

Gift memberships are available for 1, 3, or 6 months as one-time payments. Gift memberships are non-refundable once purchased.

3.3 Automatic Renewal

Monthly subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing date. You are responsible for cancelling your subscription if you no longer wish to be charged.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

4.1 Cancellation

You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to membership benefits until the end of the paid period.

4.2 Refund Policy

We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your membership within the first 30 days, contact us at [email protected] for a full refund. After 30 days, no refunds will be provided for monthly subscriptions.

Gift memberships are non-refundable once purchased.

5. User Conduct

As a member, you agree to:

• Use the services for personal, non-commercial purposes only
• Not share your account credentials with others
• Not reproduce, distribute, or sell any content from the platform
• Treat other community members with respect and professionalism
• Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All content provided through Capable Membership, including videos, documents, images, and text, is the intellectual property of Get Handy Workshops & Training Pty Ltd and is protected by Australian copyright law.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the content for personal learning purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The services will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The content will meet your specific requirements
• The results obtained from using the services will be accurate or reliable

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Get Handy Workshops & Training Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the services.

Important Safety Notice: DIY and home improvement activities involve inherent risks. While we provide educational content and safety guidance, you are solely responsible for your own safety when undertaking any projects. We recommend consulting licensed professionals for complex or regulated work (e.g., electrical, plumbing, structural modifications).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Get Handy Workshops & Training Pty Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the services or violation of these terms.

10. Third-Party Services

Our membership includes access to third-party platforms (such as Skool for community features). Your use of these platforms is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated to members via email or through the platform. Continued use of the services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
